Happy Twenty-First Birthday @ngrrrito !
Love you so much gorgeous, you inspire me to be even more fabulous then I am. Your positivity and great attitude make you an inspiration and role model for all who you meet. May this year be filled with beautiful memories, laughs and amazing experiences.
I absolutely love Spring Break. Nothing is better than knowing you’ve handed in that last paper, presented your drawings for your graduate program applications and written that last midterm.. And now you’re free. Well, for a week anyway.
I have been planning for months now to go away to Cayo Coco with a bunch of my friends from NYC. I would show you all a picture of what my room looked like while packing, but I feel like it would be too messy for even Tumblr to accept! I’m not a pro at getting myself motivated to pack myself, even if I am really excited for the trip.
Thank god for the strategies that my friends gave me, check them out:
- Always pack the things that you will immediately use upon your arrival on top of everything else.
- Keep a spare pair of your intimates on top in case of an emergency.
- Keep important documents (Passport, VISA, Ticket, ID) in a bag that is going to be with you at all times, like a purse!
- Don’t over-pack! Your just making more work for you to pick up your bag ;)
- Keep an emergency kit in your suitcase of medications & creams that you may have to use.
There were many more, but I just don’t have room to post them all, do any of my loyal followers have an suggestions of their own? Send me an email, or tweet me back
There are days when I will come home from shopping &I feel like my car looks just like this! Then of course, the boyfriend has to harass me for buying all these clothes that I will most likely only wear once in a blue moon.. But can I help it that Mr. Karl Lagerfeld makes such exquisite things? Non, ma cherie ;) - @mstiffanys_

As per usual with my morning latte, I picked up a copy of February’s Vogue Issue. I was super interested to see that Taylor Swift was on the cover, but not with her usual curls, but straight hair! It was so shockingly refreshing to see her in Rodarte’s edgier clothing, and a darker take to her usually played up doll-face makeup routine. I love how expressive her eyes are in all of photos by Mario Testino, he surely played to her innocent eyes, but something about the photos replicate an idea that there is more to her then just the, “You Belong With Me” stereotypical view of T-Swift.
But I didn’t just stop once I looked at all of the pictures.. I did manage to get through her interview by Jonathan Van Meter. She seems like quite the girl next door! Her sense of honesty and bringing the spotlight to the awkward people we never seem to truly see, gives me a sense of comfort in knowing that not all musical role-models have to go to hell. She emulates a strength that each little girl knows she possesses, but is afraid to give a voice to. I feel like having such a positive character in the music business offers comfort to certain parents who are deeply concerned about the messages of other artists. Not everything can appeal to everyone, but Taylor seems to know her audience very well and caters her music to that.
I give Ms. Swift props to a well-mannered interview, and props to Vogue for featuring another wonderful role-model for both the tween population, and adults.
